Are HOLZ furniture made of solid wood?
No, HOLZ furniture is made entirely of Italian poplar plywood.
As great as solid wood is, HOLZ's goal is to create furniture with unsurpassed durability and stability over time.
For this reason, in addition to its strong aesthetic appeal, we chose plywood. This material offers excellent stability over time; it doesn't warp, split, or crack, even with heavy use and harsh environmental conditions.
Why don't you use chipboard or MDF?
HOLZ was born to build furniture that lasts decades, not to survive one or maybe two moves.
Are the plywood edges exposed?
Yes, and we are proud of it.
Plywood, as many people think, is not a second-rate material and is often equated with MDF or chipboard, without knowing the differences.
Ours is a declared choice: the material is not hidden, but enhanced.
If you are looking for the “fake solid wood” effect or those ugly plastic edges, HOLZ is not the right product.
Where is HOLZ furniture produced?
From design to final assembly, everything is done entirely in our laboratory in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Why do you ship furniture already assembled?
Assembly is the fundamental step that differentiates our products from all the others on the market.
By applying the lifetime warranty, we cannot afford for a piece of furniture not to be assembled with the right care and equipment.
Orders and customizations
Can I customize sizes or finishes?
At the moment we do not foresee any other customization options beyond those already present.
This allows us to maintain quality, control and design consistency.
Can I see samples of the materials?
Yes, a sample pack with select materials and finishes is available.
Recommended if you want to see for yourself before buying.
Shipping and delivery
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is included in the price.
It includes:
- courier with hydraulic tail lift
- roadside drain
What is White Glove Service?
It is an optional premium service (€300) that includes:
- delivery by appointment, to the floor, with two staff
- unpacking
- furniture positioning
- disposal of packaging
Available throughout Italy.
How is the furniture packaged?
The furniture is shipped on a pallet, protected and packaged like a crate.
It opens with a normal screwdriver or screwdriver.
What is White Glove Service?

Times and payments
What are the production times?
HOLZ furniture is made to order only; we do not have a warehouse.
Currently, from order confirmation, the lead time is approximately 5/6 weeks.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major payment cards, including American Express and Maestro.
Payments are securely handled by Stripe and the Shopify platform.
Is it possible to pay in installments?
We don't offer typical 3 or 4 instalment payment plans because that would mean raising our prices unjustifiably to cover the high fees of such services, penalising those who don't want to use them.
Instead, we offer the option to pay in 2 parts:
- 50% at order confirmation
- remaining balance before shipping (charged automatically to your payment method)
After-sales and warranty
Is HOLZ furniture covered by a warranty?
Yes, HOLZ furniture is covered not only by the standard legal guarantee, but also by our exclusive lifetime guarantee.
If it gets ruined or damaged, can I repair it?
Yes, and it is one of the principles of System 01.
HOLZ furniture is repairable and designed to be maintained, not replaced.
How do you clean and maintain them?
A soft, slightly damp cloth is enough.
No aggressive products.
Maintenance instructions are provided with the furniture.
