We know how it goes: you buy a piece of furniture that seems solid, but after a few years the drawers stop sliding, the bottom buckles, and the doors become misaligned.

It's not your fault — it's just that most furniture today is made to last a short time and cost less.

We do the opposite.

Real wood, not derivatives

We use Italian poplar plywood: layers of real wood glued and pressed together, not chipboard or MDF. It's more stable than solid wood and won't warp over time.

Why is plywood an excellent material? Learn more.

Made to last

The structure of our furniture is assembled using wooden joints and structural glues.
Our furniture cannot be dismantled because it is not designed to be dismantled: it is made to last.

For life, without asterisks

If something breaks due to a material or workmanship defect, we'll take care of it. Hardware included. No fees, no deadlines.

Why the Italian poplar?

Plywood is a panel made of thin layers of real wood, glued together with their grains crossed. It's different from chipboard or MDF, which are made from wood scraps pressed together with resins and glues.

We use FSC-certified Italian poplar plywood, produced in the Po Valley. It's the same material used to build boat and camper interiors—environments where the wood must withstand humidity, temperature fluctuations, and heavy use without warping.

The cross-grain pattern makes it more stable than solid wood, which tends to move and crack over time. It's lightweight, has virtually zero formaldehyde emissions (CARB Phase 2 certification, the most stringent in the world), and comes from sustainably managed forests.

We chose it because it works better, not because it costs less.

Lifetime warranty

Every HOLZ piece of furniture comes with a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. If something breaks due to our fault, we'll repair or replace it, free of charge and with no deadlines.

The warranty covers the frame, joints, surfaces, and hardware. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear or accidental damage—that depends on how you use the furniture, not how we built it.

You don't need to keep receipts or register anywhere. Just write to us.
